I want to thank you for making this Lean Plan for everyone to access. It has been very helpful and I have been studying it the whole day today.
I want to ask whether some points will actually affect the business if it is a franchise unit outside of the country. I think it eliminates many factors within the plan, am I wrong?
I want to also ask whether a Lean Plan is sufficient enough to show to my investor, and family – I feel from reading all of this, that it is 100% suited for that.

    thank you Tim

    Cordially Yours,

    Aus, thanks for your questions:

    1. When the business is a franchise unit, the franchisor normally sets the strategy and tactics. It’s part of what the franchisee pays the franchisor for. So I agree with your assumption that the franchisee/franchisor relationship eliminates the need for that part of the plan.
    2. What you show an investor and your family depends on what they want to see. What I see in the investor group I’m in is that the lean plan is fine and definitely enough information when used in combination with a pitch presentation to show the story behind the market. Some investors will want more in the market analysis, in which case you can put that into the pitch or in a separate additional summary. In Appendix B: Sharing Your Plan I suggest that you might add a pitch presentation or additional material to summarize whatever else you want to add for investors or others.
